Bičevje Elementary School Awarded
A group of students from the 8th grade from the Bičevje Elementary School have received the first prize for their remarkably committed and successful work within the Global Partners Junior international project.
More than 1,600 students from over 60 countries have been involved in the Global Partners Junior international project in this school year. Students communicated among themselves every week within the project and report on their work by the priory defined curriculum, which discusses important global topics for every country and culture.
The group of 8th graders from the Bičevje Elementary School under the mentorship of their English teacher, Bernarda Avsenik, and the assistance of their teacher, Alenka Fajfar Gnezda, have applied for the project in the beginning of the current school year. They responded to the invitation of the City of Ljubljana, which aimed to encourage students to mutual collaboration with their peers form different cities in the world. The group has been selected among numerous schools and cities in the world, which were part of the project in the first half of the 2014/15 school year.
We congratulate the students and the teachers of the Bičevje Elementary School on their remarkable achievement and acquired knowledge, while wishing the further development of good practice and collaboration with their peers around the world.
