Conor McKenna, County Monaghan, Ireland, (prospective) student (summer 2011)
I’ve just finished high school. I flew from Dublin to Eindhoven in Holland, and went from there by train. Ljubljana is my southernmost stop. It’s really photogenic; I like the course of the Ljubljanica, which has a beautiful controlled flow through the city. Looking at your buildings makes a person feel the history. I’ve noticed many statues that are reflected in parts of buildings. This is really something special. Compared to Ireland things are half the price here. The people are very friendly to us foreigners, everyone’s very helpful. On my travels I’ve also visited Poland among other places and had the feeling that they don’t like tourists. It’s the absolute opposite here. I’ll recommend Slovenia to my friends.
