After 10 years Swan Lake again opening the festival

At the 10th anniversary we are presenting the updated visual image of the festival. From now on we are announcing the beginning of the cultural summer by communicating in a livelier tone and using the green colour of Ljubljana.

The Festival in Ljubljana started in 2009 on Prešeren Square with the ballet Swan Lake by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky performed by the Slovenian National Theatre Opera and Ballet Ljubljana. The 10th edition of the festival is again opening with this magnificent ballet, this time on Congress Square and performed by the Slovenian National Theatre Opera and Ballet Maribor joined by top Russian soloists Anastasia Matvienko, the Mariinsky Theatre champion, and Ernest Latipov, the Mikhailovsky Theatre champion.

Ljubljana is a UNESCO City of Literature and a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network that is why you are also invited to the Library under the Treetops, set up in the Star Park during the festival, where we are preparing events linking literature and art.
