21 trees alongside the UEFA European Under-21 Championship
We are just a few days away from the final matches of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship at the Stožice Stadium, and as part of the countdown, we planted 21 new trees in the vicinity of the stadium.
We planted new trees along the road Vojkova cesta and the street Dimičeva ulica, the last of which were planted together by Mayor Zoran Janković and the President of the Football Association of Slovenia, Radenko Mijatović. By linking sport and sustainable development, we have joined the public awareness campaign Cleaner Air, Better Game, which supports green initiatives in the wider football community.
As part of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, we have also prepared the Young Hopefuls exhibition, which is on view at Congress Square. The exhibition, which we have prepared together with the Football Association of Slovenia and Ljubljana Tourism, shows action photos of promising football players who are an important part of Ljubljana’s clubs.
