City of Ljubljana has arranged a new park-and-ride facility in Ježica and adjusted the city bus routes accordingly. With this it follows the traffic policy which dictates decongesting of the city centre.

With the establishment of the new park-and-ride (P+R) Ježica with eighty parking lots and adaptation of public transport routes 8, 11 and 26 new possibilities are opened for drivers of personal vehicles to plan the route to Ljubljana and for combined (intermodal) travel by personal vehicle and city bus around Ljubljana. The transfer point is particularly interesting for passengers of public city transport and drivers of personal vehicles who travel to Ljubljana from Domžale, Kamnik or Trzin.

Recent changes of routes are in accordance with the city traffic policy, which dictates the reduction of personal vehicle traffic and the establishment of more park-and-ride (P+R) areas that will parallel with public city transport provide the citizens and visitors more choice for travel.

Ježica P+R parking space
The Ježica P+R parking space lies on the northern outskirts of Ljubljana and offers 80 parking lots. Parking fee is € 1.20/day (including VAT); parking is paid from Monday to Friday between 6:00 and 20:00 hours. By paying the parking fee the drivers of personal vehicles are entitled to two rides by city bus, which is valid until 23:59 hours of the day for which the parking fee was paid.
