Apple of inspiration to our "hero of the coronavirus"
Among the recipients of the Apple of Inspiration for "Heroes of the Coronavirus", which is awarded by the President of Slovenia Borut Pahor, is also an employee of the City Administration, Bojan Povše, who was in charge of the overall logistics of supplying the most vulnerable groups with lunches during the spring wave of the epidemic.
Bojan Povše, who works as a driver in the City of Ljubljana, proved to be organised, responsible and caring as he made sure that each day for over two months more than 500 lunches were distributed in the area of Ljubljana.
On the occasion he said: "I was happy to take on the task to deliver meals on time to all children, in addition to planning the menus and coordinating with the cooks, but with the awareness that this would be a great logistical task. Although Ljubljana is not big, the delivery had to be organised in such a way that the families received still warm meals, which was a great challenge every day. We distributed over 30,000 meals during the epidemic, and only once did somebody complain that the lunch was too salty. But we managed to adjust that, as well. I want to thank the mayor and the best team for their trust they have shown in me, which I believe I have justified."
