Golden Pencil 2024 for Center Rog
Center Rog, an international creative, social and creative center in which the doors are wide open to all visitors, came to life in October 2023. The director of Center Rog, Renata Zamida, emphasizes that Center Rog is most beautiful when it is full of life: »With the architectural renovation, there is so much natural light and functional spaces for creating and socializing that the building acts as a magnet for passers-by, and the transparent interior is a real feast for the eyes. The authors of the architecture succeeded in creating a place of well-being.«
Patina Pencil 2024 for the funicular to the Ljubljana Castle
The Ljubljana Castle Public Institute, which operates the funicular railway, is delighted with the award and sincerely congratulates its architects. Director Mateja Avbelj Valentan pointed out: »The funicular railway, which has transported 6,125,832 passengers since its start of operation at the end of 2006 until the end of August this year, proves that it has become an indispensable part of the connection between the city center and the Castle Hill. In all the years of its operation, it has helped to alleviate traffic on Castle Hill and to promote a sustainable orientation of our city.«
