Easier access for University Medical Centre Ljubljana employees to their workplace

On 1 June 2021, we have introduced a direct LPP city bus line to facilitate access of the University Medical Centre Ljubljana and the Institute of Oncology employees to their workplace.

The direct bus line connects the P+R Barje and Stožice parking areas with the University Medical Centre Ljubljana and the Institute of Oncology. In addition to the bus ride, full-day parking is included in the price of 1.20 euro.

The line's introduction further enhances good relations between the City of Ljubljana and the institutions mentioned above. In the first and second wave of the epidemic, we gave the employees 100 parking permits for free parking on parking spaces in the vicinity of the University Medical Centre. Since public transport is undisrupted again, we have cancelled the permits, and the introduction of the direct bus line provided the employees with a longer-term solution to the parking problem.

We have been standing by the University Medical Centre Ljubljana employees throughout the epidemic. To those who travel to Ljubljana from other places, we offered free accommodation at the Celica Hostel immediately at the announcement of the epidemic in spring last year and thus enabled them to stay closer to their workplace.

LPP drivers, who at the time were temporarily laid-off, also proved themselves by helping the University Medical Centre Ljubljana as volunteers, they were also distributing warm meals for the underprivileged children and the elderly.
