Ingemar Stenmark at the City Hall

On 19 October 2015, Mayor Zoran Janković hosted the former alpine ski racer Ingemar Stenmark at the City Hall.

Ingemar Stenmark is the best alpine ski racer of all time. In his career he claimed 86 World Cup victories, he received four big crystal globes for the highest number of points at the end of the World Cup and as many as 16 small crystal globes for his slalom or giant slalom points. At the Olympics he won three medals: bronze giant slalom medal in Innsbruck in 1976 and golden slalom and giant slalom medals in Lake Placid in 1980.

Ingemar Stenmark is also remembered for his calm nature and racing on Elan skis.
