June, Pride Month

The Ljubljana Pride Festival 2024, this year held under the slogan »Looking Back, Marching Forward«, has started in Ljubljana.

The festival ends on Saturday, 15 June, with Pride Day, a part of which is also the Pride March. A rainbow flag will hang on the City Hall throughout the festival.

June is the month of pride marches all around the world. In this framework, we are hosting the exhibition Kiss it Better in the Right Atrium of the City Hall, representing a radical placement of queer bodies and experiences in the very centre of the city, and the Drag Queens exhibition in the Kresija Gallery, celebrating the diversity and creativity of Slovenian drag queens and kings.

The Ljubljana Pride Festival will conclude on Saturday, 15 June 2024, with Parade Day, during which the traditional Pride March will be held on the streets of Ljubljana under the honourable patronage of Mayor Zoran Janković. Within the Ljubljana Pride Festival framework, workshops, talks, roundtables, gatherings and cultural events will be held throughout the month, addressing the general social situation and the situation of the LGBTIQ+ community in Slovenia. The entire programme is published here.
