On 8 December 2016, the LGBT-Friendly Certificates were awarded at the City Hall, the aim of which is to raise awareness and create a positive atmosphere for everyone within the work environment and beyond.

Namely, the recipients of the certificate commit themselves to ensure better understanding of fundamental human rights of LGBT people in their organisation, promote an inclusive environment for LGBT colleagues, raise awareness among the staff in providing offers and services for LGBT users and increase sensitivity in detecting violations of LGBT rights in the work and user environment.
So far 14 organisations have received the LGBT-Friendly Certificate and now it has been awarded to the International Centre of Graphic Arts, National Hero Maks Pečar Primary School, Advisory Centre for Children, Youth and Parents Ljubljana, RRC Computer Services (RRC Računalniške storitve d.d.), H. C. Andersen Kindergarten and Under the Castle Kindergarten (Vrtec Pod Gradom).
