On 1 September 2017, the number 15 city buses started driving on the extended route from Medvode to the Sora residential area.

This gave over 3,700 residents along the route direct access to the centre of Medvode from where they can continue their journey to Ljubljana or Kranj. There are many opportunities with 50 rides per day in both directions to practice the Comprehensive Transport Strategy of the Municipality of Medvode aimed at promoting sustainable mobility and the use of public passenger transport as well as the Comprehensive Transport Strategy of the City of Ljubljana which is in addition prescribing the reduction of private vehicle traffic in the city centre. The bus line number 15 is also intended for schoolchildren from the Preska Primary School.
