On 18 June 2015 in Trieste, Mayor Zoran Janković and the director of the Festival Ljubljana presented summer cultural events held in Ljubljana and the programme of the Ljubljana Festival.

Darko Brlek presented the highlights of this year’s 63rd Ljubljana Festival which began with the amazing musical Mama Mia and will officially open on 28 June with the musical and visual spectacle of the Academy Award winner Tan Dun. The festival will continue until 28 September.

The Mayor also emphasised the good cooperation between Ljubljana and Trieste and the exchange of good practices. He underlined the importance of the title European Green Capital 2016 for Ljubljana and pointed out the Tourism for Tomorrow Awards ranking us first among future sustainable destinations in the world. In addition, he mentioned that according to Trip Advisor the Ljubljana City Hall is the friendliest city hall.

At the end of the presentation Mayor Zoran Janković invited the Mayor of Trieste Roberto Casolini and other visitors to Ljubljana which will again this summer offer a range of different activities for all generations and cultural tastes.
