The City of Ljubljana once again received the Youth Friendly Municipality certificate for the period 2024-2028. The certificate is awarded by the Institute for Youth Policy in cooperation with the Ministry of Education (Office of the Republic of Slovenia for Youth) and the Community of Municipalities of Slovenia.

Recertification proves that the City of Ljubljana systematically regulates the field of horizontal and vertical youth policies in the local community.

The committee for awarding the certificate confirmed the implementation of measures in all priority areas. These are:

• addressing young people in a systematic way
• participation of young people
• organising of young people
• informing of young people
• employment of young people
• education of young people
• housing policy for young people
• joint youth and municipal projects at the youth policy level

At the City of Ljubljana, we first obtained the Youth-Friendly Municipality certificate in 2012, and we have been successfully renewing it ever since by developing and upgrading measures in the field of youth policy.
