On 24 May 2016, Mayor Zoran Janković took part in the Mayors’ Conference on migrations held on the margin of the first World Humanitarian Summit.

The aim of the first World Humanitarian Summit was to establish a platform which would bring together heads of countries and governments, the civil society, private sector, communities in crisis and multilateral organisations. This would lead to the creation of new important partnerships and initiatives which would significantly alleviate human suffering and at the same time support the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
