On 22 October 2015, the passage counters at the Ljubljana Castle recorded the millionth visitor.

In 2013 the milestone visit was recorded just before the end of the year, on 28 December, and last year on 16 November. Ljubljana Castle remains the most visited cultural and tourist site not only in the capital but also in the country.
