From now on Urbana city card holders can use the Urbana mobile application to ride LPP buses, park their vehicle, take the funicular or rent BicikeLj bikes.

The Urbana mobile application is available for mobile phones running the Android 4.4 operating system or higher with NFC connectivity, and it includes the use of the virtual value card and numerous other options. The users can top up the Urbana card in the mobile application using Moneta, at Urbanomats and other points of sale, such as kiosks, gas stations, stores…
With regard to the payment of services provided by the passenger traffic company Ljubljanski potniški promet the Urbana mobile application offers everything the Urbana value card enables, and the passengers can make contactless payment for rides with LPP buses, also for several passengers jointly, they can switch buses free-of-charge within 90 minutes and can top up the card. In addition, the users can monitor the card balance and its validation history, check the bus arrival schedule, plan their route through the city and access other travel information.
The Urbana mobile application was developed by Telekom Slovenija, the City of Ljubljana and the passenger traffic company Ljubljanski potniški promet. It is available to customers of all mobile operators and works on mobile phones running the Android 4.4 operating system or higher with NFC connectivity.
The Urbana mobile application is an upgrade of the Urbana virtual value card solution which in 2014 received the prestigious award »MasterCard Transport Ticketing Awards« in the »Most successful mobile ticketing programme« category in London and was until now available only to test users. Since then the Urbana test application has been, also with the help of test users, visually and technologically comprehensively revamped.
