My Rainbow City

On 17 May we are observing the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOT) and this year the City of Ljubljana honoured this day with an international photographic exhibition of the Rainbow Cities Network published on our website.

This year the Rainbow Cities Network put on its first joint exhibition with the title My Rainbow City. The exhibition features 11 rainbow cities presenting different motives from individual rainbow cities. Ljubljana is participating with a photo by Nik Rovan who captured in his lens the Ljubljana Castle lit in colours of the rainbow in honour of the recognition for best practices in the public sector EPSA 2014 which Ljubljana received for its activities in the LGBT area.

The Rainbow Cities Network was established in 2013 and it brings together cities which are actively involved in LGBT politics. Ljubljana joined the network in 2014. The aim of the network is primarily the exchange of local approaches to non-discrimination and inclusion of LGBT persons and the development of joint strategies.
