New trees in Tivoli

In the oldest tree-lined avenue in the Tivoli Park, which connects Celovška cesta and the Tivoli Waterpark under the Tivoli Hall, we have planted as many as 37 additional trees.

Thirty Tilia platyphyllos trees were donated to us by the Lions Club Ljubljana on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Lionism in Slovenia, and with additional seven trees we filled places where we had to remove old linden trees in recent years for the safety of visitors.

The avenue Cekinov drevored is designed as a double, cross-shaped avenue, and its beginnings date back at least to the early 19th century, as its scope and design are clearly visible in the Franciscan cadastre from 1825. Its design is perhaps even older and associated with the construction of the mansion, which was built in 1755 by Leopold Karl Lamberg.
