On Wednesday, 29 May 2019, a new sports hall was opened next to Vižmarje Brod Primary School, an important acquisition for the school and the whole surrounding area.

In addition to the gymnasium, we have set up a sports field, a parking lot and a platform. The main hall with adjacent facilities is located in the basement, on the ground floor there are stands and offices and in the mezzanine there are two multipurpose halls with adjacent facilities.
The new gymnasium is going to meet the needs of the school and the broader local community and is also intended for organising competitions and events.

Building with the future in mind

The construction of the hall, designed by the architectural office Medprostor headed by Rok Žnidaršič, took approximately one year. This project, too, was comprehensively sustainably designed, a high efficiency ventilation and a heat return system was foreseen. Building airtightness measurements showed the best result in NZEB new public buildings (nearly zero-energy buildings).
The investment is valued just under 6.3 million euro, VAT excluded.
