Participate in the cycling festival Cycling the change

Within the framework of the Velo-City International Cycling Conference, which Ljubljana is hosting in mid-June, we are also preparing the cycling festival v Cycling the change, which will take place in Congress Square on Wednesday, 15 June 2022. You are invited to take part.

In addition to the cycling conference, which is taking place from 14 to 17 June 2022 at the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre and where various experts from around the world will present projects, measures, activities and experiences in the field of cycling and beyond, we are also planning a number of accompanying events. Among them are a mass cycling parade around the city and a street cycling festival titled »v Cycling the change«, which is also the central theme of the congress Velo-City 2022 Ljubljana. Both events will be open to the general public admission-free.

Present yourself at the cycling festival

We invite different organizations, associations, institutions, institutes, groups and individuals working in the fields of cycling and other forms of sustainable mobility, traffic safety, urban planning, environmental protection, sports, health, culture, etc., to actively take part in and co-create the program of the cycling festival v Cycling the change. You can participate by organizing and carrying out activities to present measures, projects and actions in your field of work. You can do this, for instance, in the form of presentations, information and awareness-raising stands, events and games for children, skills training ramps, discussions with participants, creative and staging activities… You can also perform your program on a stage that will be set up in Congress Square.

By carrying out various activities, we want to highlight the significance of cycling for urban development and emphasize the importance of moderation and sustainability, creativity and intergenerational connectivity, and following the congress's central theme to accentuate the impact of social change on cycling and vice versa.

We believe that with your collaboration we can prepare an even more varied, rich, educational and interesting program!
