Plečnik kiosk – a place of innovative ideas
For the next five years, Plečnik kiosk on Prešeren Square will be a place for innovative ideas. Every fortnight, entrepreneurs who have developed their products and services within the scope of the project titled An Entrepreneurial Approach to Challenges in the Ljubljana Urban Region (PONI LUR) will present themselves there.
The Regional Development Agency of the Ljubljana Urban Region was given rent-free use of the Plečnik kiosk to present entrepreneurial ideas from the PONI LUR project.
Deputy Mayor Rok Žnidaršič, Assoc. Prof., Director of the Regional Development Agency of the Ljubljana Urban Region Lilijana Madjar, MSc, and project manager and entrepreneurial mentor Dejan Marinčič opened the kiosk with a symbolic ribbon cutting. Madjar emphasized that the promotion of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial culture, and an environment offering new career opportunities, is one of the development priorities of both the city of Ljubljana and the entire region, and made a commitment that Plečnik kiosk will be a lively place for innovative entrepreneurial ideas for the next five years. Deputy Mayor Rok Žnidaršič concluded by saying that today we are witnessing a coming together of the excellence represented by the perfect architecture of Plečnik, on the one hand, and the work of young and creative people, on the other. Thus, the content complements the space beautifully, also proving that the multifunctionality of heritage is essential for its preservation.
