On 24 June 2016, Mayor Zoran Janković hosted the President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović at the City Hall.

The Mayor welcomed his guest in Ljubljana, European Green Capital 2016, while the President congratulated him for all the achievements and the awards Ljubljana has received, and emphasised that the citizens of Ljubljana can be proud of their city.
On the occasion, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović signed the Golden Book of Ljubljana and went on a tour of the city centre.
