The Pioneer Theatre opened its doors in the Pionirski dom Centre for Youth Culture, devoted to independent cultural creators, non-governmental organizations, self-employed professionals in culture, institutes and associations.

On stages on the street Miklošičeva cesta and in the Festival Hall, top independent professional creators will present various genres: theatre events for children and adults, dance performances, literary events, art exhibitions, concerts, etc.

Theater activity is an important and vital part of the Pionirski dom Centre for Youth Culture, and so they want to use the new Pioneer Theatre program to familiarize students with professional theater and give them an insight into the broader cultural and creative space. With a wide range of content of different genres, they will appeal to a broad audience, who will thus expand their interests and cultural appetite.

At the Pionirski dom Centre for Youth Culture, they are convinced that, as a public institute operating in the field of culture, it is their duty to actively address the increasingly pressing issue of independent cultural creators and precarious cultural workers. In recent years, the circumstances for young people and the so-called independent creators have drastically worsened. By applying for tenders and other forms of financing, many of them work and create on the edge of cultural space. That is why the Pioneer Theatre program has been developed for independent cultural creators, non-governmental organizations, self-employed professionals in culture, institutes and associations. The intention is to connect top independent professional creators and offer them a space where they can create and present their art to the audience.
