Tivoli, Rožnik and Šiška Hill Landscape Park celebrates 40 years
The 40th anniversary of the Tivoli, Rožnik and Šiška Hill Landscape Park will be celebrated with an exhibition, guided walks and the opening of the renovated Tivoli Greenhouse.
Exhibition Preserving Nature in the City Centre
On Tuesday, 9 July 2024, we will open the photo exhibition Preserving Nature in the City Centre on Jakopič Promenade in Tivoli Park. Deputy Mayor Ass. Prof. Rok Žnidaršič will open the exhibition at 17:00, and it will be on display until 11 August 2024.
The exhibition features motifs from the Tivoli, Rožnik and Šiška Hill Landscape Park, the Tivoli Park, the Mali Rožnik Nature Reserve and many animal, plant and fungal species that can be found in the landscape park. The exhibition also shows life in the park throughout the seasons and visitors who seek peace, respite from everyday stress and contact with nature.
Renovated greenhouse
As part of the 40th-anniversary celebrations, we will also complete the renovation of the greenhouse in Tivoli Park, within the scope of which we have refurbished the interior and provided safer conditions for visitors. After the renovation, the greenhouse will house not only the facilities of the University Botanic Gardens Ljubljana but also the headquarters of the Tivoli, Rožnik and Šiška Hill Landscape Park Service (Public Company Voka Snaga), which manages the landscape park.
Bus in the colours of the landscape park
As part of the anniversary celebrations, we have also covered the city bus, which runs on line 18, with the colours of the landscape park and the slogan »Preserving nature in the City Centre«. The route of this bus line also runs on Večna pot, which goes through the landscape park.
