Young Dragons’ Director received high national recognition
The Director of Young Dragons public institute Ksenja Perko received a national recognition for quality and successful work in the youth sector over a longer period of time.
The national recognition in the youth sector is the highest recognition of the Republic of Slovenia in the field of youth work, that is, its popularisation, and it is awarded to the most deserving individuals, organisations and projects in the field of youth work.
The expert jury awarding the national recognition for quality and successful work over a longer period of time wrote in its justification: »Ksenja Perko has been involved in youth work ever since 1999, when she launched the Yousay (Tipovej) project, to the present day, namely, now she is heading the Young Dragons public institute in Ljubljana. With her understanding of the young people she has been developing a virtual prototype of a youth centre, she has carried out numerous workshops and trainings, she has been inspiring young people to put their ideas into practice, encouraging them and supporting their entrepreneurial spirit. Ksenja Perko has been involved in projects MC 21, From an Idea to Implementation (Od ideje do uresničitve), Opening Doors on My Own (Odpiram vrata sam), School for Life – Courageous, Creative, Entrepreneurial (Šola za lajf – pogumni, kreativni, podjetni), City Incubator (Mestni inkubator) within the framework of the Young Dragons and many others. In a highly professional and creative manner bringing together innovation, sustainability and change she is contributing to improving the state of the youth in Slovenia and Ljubljana.
