Drinking fountains in Ljubljana are opening
This weekend we have opened first four drinking fountains, namely, at Cankar Peek (at Rožnik Inn), at Golovec Hill (at the turn for the observatory), at Stritar Street (at the City Hall) and at the Old Square (at the Romeo restaurant).

Winning architectural solution for the city cinema miniplex
In cooperation with the Chamber of Architecture and Spatial Planning of Slovenia we have concluded the project competition for the selection of the professionally most appropriate solution for the city cinema miniplex with five auditoriums which is going to be set up in the centre of Ljubljana in the Ajdovščina underpass.

Painting with natural dyes from the fruits of staghorn sumac
Many invasive alien plant species are cultivated as ornamental plants. One of them is staghorn sumac, whose fruits can be processed into natural dye. Natural dyes can be used for coloring and drawing. They can be used as tempera or watercolors.

In Ljubljana we are aware of the immense importance of protecting our environment, which includes taking care of city trees. We strive to preserve each and every tree in the city and we are also regularly planting new trees.

Ljubljana offered space for quarantine needs free-of-charge
The Public Institute Sport Ljubljana offered the Government of the Republic of Slovenia the Sport Hotel in the Gymnastics Centre Ljubljana free-of-charge for possible quarantine needs for citizens returning to the country from abroad.

Technology Park Ljubljana contributing to the development of respirators
There are only 168 respirators in Slovenia and we would need it at least 100 more! As time is not on our side and the delivery periods are long, the Technology Park Ljubljana has been actively trying to bring together the Slovenian technology community into a team of engineers who would develop the presently most important support device for serious coronavirus patients.

Helping Serbian citizens on their way home
On Monday 23 March, we responded to the request from Serbian citizens stranded in Ljubljana traveling to Serbia from various European countries and provided them with food and tea.
