Highest recognitions of Ljubljana presented on the city holiday
At the gala session of the City Council of the City of Ljubljana on 9 May, the Ljubljana City Holiday, we presented the highest city recognitions. The Honorary Citizens of Ljubljana are Prof. Dr. Renata Salecl and Jurij Souček.

Plečnik's Year: a photo exhibition at the Gallus Embankment
As part of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of the great architect Jože Plečnik, an exhibition of photographs by Miran Kambič Plečnik's Monuments to the National Liberation Struggle will be on view from 9 May to 9 June 2022 at the Gallus Embankment.

Fourteen years caring for amphibians along the road Večna pot
This year we are continuing the amphibian protection project in the Tivoli, Rožnik and Šiška Hill Landscape Park, within which members of the Herpetological Society – Societas herpetologica slovenica are organizing the transfer of amphibians across the road on a section of Večna pot.

In Vienna, Mayor Zoran Janković and Mayor and Governor of Vienna Michael Ludwig signed an agreement on cooperation between the two cities for another four years.

Ljubljana City Holiday
Ljubljana, the City of Heroes, marks the city holiday, Victory Day, on 9 May. Every year, we celebrate the holiday with a formal sitting of the City Council of the City of Ljubljana, at which we present the highest recognitions of the City of Ljubljana: the titles of Honorary Citizens as well as the Awards and Plaques of the City of Ljubljana.
