Sustainable project bringing together all aspects needed for success
Today, the Slovenian Water Agency (Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning), the City of Ljubljana, Energetika Ljubljana and Elektro Ljubljana signed the Cooperation and Co-financing Agreement in the preparation of the investment project »Renovation of the existing floodgates and energy use of the Ljubljanica River with the concurrent introduction of a circular waterway on the Ljubljanica River«.

Public tribunal on the development of culture Ljubljana
Within the scope of a public deliberation on the draft Strategy for Cultural Development in the City of Ljubljana 2020-2023 with guidelines until 2027 a public tribunal was held on 2 July 2020 at which the participants commended the prepared document.

The expert jury presenting Plečnik Awards, the highest professional recognitions in the field of contemporary architectural creativity in Slovenia, awarded the Plečnik Medal for Realisation to Rok Žnidaršič and Žiga Ravnikar for the Primary School Vižmarje-Brod Hall.

Dilemmas in management of Black locust in Slovenian forests
Black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia L.) is by far the most widespread non-native tree species in Slovenian forests, with 2 million m3 and accounts for 0.60 % of the total wood stock. Because of its great usefulness, it is popular among forest owners, but at the same time, it is considered the most invasive tree species in our country. Therefore, the question is how best to deal with it is becoming more and more frequent.
