December 2018: varied programme and festive atmosphere
On Friday, 30 November 2018, the festive lights were turned on and the holiday fair opened marking the beginning of the festive December in Ljubljana. A varied programme in the beautifully decorated old city centre is going to keep us entertained up to 6 January next year.

Ljubljana impressed the participants of the World Forum on Urban Forests
In November 2018, the first World Forum on Urban Forests with the title »Changing the nature of cities: the role of urban forestry for a green, healthier and happier future« was held in Mantova, where the good practices of Ljubljana were presented by our colleagues in the City of Ljubljana and our public company Snaga.

RogLab project awarded at the EUROCITIES conference
In Edinburgh, Scotland, on 29 November 2018, within the framework of the annual EUROCITIES conference, awards were presented for outstanding achievements in the field of activities enhancing the quality of life of citizens. In the Innovation category the award went to our project RogLab – Creative and Innovative Hub.

Within the scope of marking the 60th anniversary of the Oskar Kovačič Primary School a new extension and renovated school premises were opened.

Ljubljana has the first mobile simulation unit in this part of Europe
The mobile simulation unit SIM mobil has opened, operating under the umbrella of the Health Care Centre Ljubljana, as the first educational programme of this type in Slovenia and in this part of Europe.
