Acknowledgement document of the slovenian archaeological society
On 3 December 2014 the Slovenian Archaeological Society awarded prizes, awards and acknowledgement documents for the year 2014. Jerneja Batič, a Fellow of the Department of Culture also received an acknowledgement document for successful coordination of the Ljubljana Archaeological Parks renovation project and for the coordination of the Emona 2000 project.

Access city award 2015
The City of Ljubljana received the bronze Access City Award 2015. This recognition placed us among the most successful European cities in the field of public space accessibility for people with disabilities.

The Slovenian team NERVteh won at the international investment forum and start-up competition – SEE Innovation Competition where 20 corporate teams from South-Eastern Europe presented themselves.

A new park-and-ride (p+r) facility at ježica
City of Ljubljana has arranged a new park-and-ride facility in Ježica and adjusted the city bus routes accordingly. With this it follows the traffic policy which dictates decongesting of the city centre.

Athena research project
City of Ljubljana and the Ljubljana Fire Brigade participate in the ATHENA research project whose purpose is to explore the impact and use of social networks, both for communication between residents and emergency services before and after a natural or any other disaster, as well as to obtain and share key information at the time of the accident.

Network meeting of rainbow cities
The network meeting of rainbow cities in Vienna was also attended by two female representatives of the City of Ljubljana, who among other things presented the LGBT-friendly certificate. Presentation of good practices of MOL will also be in Brussels.

Together for a better society
At the European Week for Waste Reduction the municipal utility companies presented an initiative “Together for a Better Society”, with which they have warned of the amount of disposed food.
