The City Museum of Ljubljana has opened the exhibition titled From Corset to Jacket: How the People of Ljubljana Dressed, 1850–1950.

The display features over 400 pieces from the museum collection of clothing with an emphasis on the clothing culture of the Ljubljana bourgeoisie from the second half of the 19th century into the 1950s. Young fashion designers are also participating in the exhibition.
At the new temporary exhibition, the presented textile collection can be 'read' as a gallery of past fashion trends. At the same time, the installation gives us valuable insight into a century of life of Ljubljana's citizens and their clothing appearance, and it familiarizes us with images from master workshops, where skillful artisans created fashion marvels from fabric.
