Undiscovered European gem
Foreign visitors consider Ljubljana an undiscovered European gem, compared by many to Prague because of its beautiful architecture. Its image was marked by different historical periods, but unquestionably most of all by the opus of the world renowned architect Jože Plečnik.
His mark is felt everywhere, but especially alongside the Ljubljanica River where Plečnik among other things designed the famous Three Bridges.
The river and its beauties can be best experienced on a boat sightseeing tour. The symbol of Ljubljana is the dragon reigning over the Dragon Bridge, but the most recognisable feature of the city is undoubtedly the Ljubljana Castle.
